vSphere 6.0 Update 1 Released

VMware have recently released update 1 of it’s latest version of the vSphere suite. In summary, new features include:

  • vCenter Server 6.0U1
    • New HTML5 Platform Services Controller UI: https://<fqdn-of-psc>/psc
    • Fault Tolerance and vSAN Interoperability now supported
  • ESXi 6.0U1
    • vSAN 6.0U1 now supports stretched clusters & 2 node RBO configurations
  • Site Recovery Manager 6.0U1
    • Storage policy based VM protection
  • vSphere Data Protection 6.0U1
    • No significant new features. Many performance and stability bug fixes
  • vSphere Replication 6.0U1
    • NFS 4.1 Datastores are now supported
    • 5 minute RPOs supported for replication between vSAN Datastores

Updates for ESXi are already available via Update Manager
